The My Neighbor Cares Program is a program that was started because we believe that helping teens make good decisions is a community wide effort.
Volunteers are recruited in the winter and are asked to address envelopes to about 10 to 15 neighbors, dispense Worth the Wait educational materials to them through letters, collect donations and send them back to Worth the Wait. This is an annual campaign takes place in May, which is Prevent Teen Pregnancy Month. The packages are mailed on April 18th each year and will arrive at your home before or around April 28th. Donations are returned to Worth the Wait by May 31st.
Each package contains supplies to mail letters to everyone shown on the neighborhood cares list for the volunteer’s block. The package includes everything the volunteer needs except for the stamps used to mail the letters.
