Worth the Wait participation in first ever Abstinence Education
Evaluation Conference offers further proof that abstinence education
is a valid and effective method to prevent teen pregnancy and
sexually transmitted diseases.
Last November, the Office
of Population Affairs, in conjunction with the Administration for
Children and Families, paved new ground by having the first ever
National Abstinence Evaluation Conference. One of the primary goals
of that conference was to provide an opportunity to present and
disseminate research studies on abstinence to those who work in the
field.
Worth the Wait founder
Stacey Ladd and evaluator Jeff Tanner presented Worth the Wait’s
saturation abstinence education results together at this conference
held in Baltimore, Maryland. They were one of only seven
organizations in the nation to present their manuscripts.
